Accommodation

At Bedford College, we are more than happy to assist you with locating accommodation for your period of study with us. We have links with several accommodation providers in Sydney.

If you decide to stay in student accommodation, prices range from $170 a week to $300 per depending on where you choose to stay.

One of these providers is Flo Harris Lodge based in Lewisham which is approximately 10 minutes from Bedford College. Flo Harris has been associated with the College for many years and has been home to many Bedford students.

You may also have the opportunity to stay with an Australian family whilst you study. This is available through the Homestay accommodation provider.

Welfare Services

At Bedford College we aim to provide a warm, friendly environment for students. Most students find that they make friends very quickly and get support from teachers, student services and other students when necessary. Students may require counselling services to assist with course progress and attendance requirements, accommodation issues or personal issues.

Academic Counselling

Bedford College will make every effort to assist students who require help in the learning process.
Advice on academic issues can be provided by individual teachers, the Deputy Principal (Business Courses) or the Child Care Coordinator (Children’s Services Courses).

Personal Counselling

Some students may experience unexpected personal problems when studying - particularly if the student is new to Sydney and living away from home, friends and family - and this is where counselling may help,

Counselling can be for a variety of reasons, such as difficulty structuring a study routine, problems adjusting to living away from home, or other personal issues.

A list of counselling services is available on Bedford Online (Moodle) and most of these services are free of charge. If you would like to arrange a Counselling Appointment, you may contact the Principal who will confidentially assist you.
