Student Loans and Payment Options
An investment in your future
You could say that any money you spend on education is an investment in your future - and what better investment could there possibly be?
VET FEE-HELP
VET FEE-HELP alleviates the financial burden that previously precluded students from enrolling in a private training college.
VET FEE-HELP is an income contingent loan scheme administered by the Australian Government and specifically designed for vocational education students.
The loan can cover all or part of the tuition fees when undertaking a VET accredited Diploma or an Advanced Diploma course at an approved VET provider.
Repayment of the loan is made through the Australian taxation system once students are working and reach the minimum repayment threshold for compulsory repayment. In 2011/12 the threshold is $47,195.
There is no interest charged on a VET FEE HELP loan.
To be eligible you must be an Australian Citizen or the holder of a permanent humanitarian visa and residing in Australia all through the course for which you are receiving VET FEE-HELP Assistance.
