A Christmas message from Bedford CEO, Steve Dixon

Christmas is a time of great joy when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the greatest gift of all for all humankind. We’re reminded of how much God loves each and every one of us.

The message of Christmas shapes the way we do things at Bedford throughout the entire year, because we believe in the intrinsic value God has placed within each person.

The message of Christmas shapes the way we do things at Bedford throughout the entire year, because we believe in the intrinsic value God has placed within each person.

It means that we are not an institution churning out cohorts of students each year to get a qualification with slim job prospects. We don’t leave students to figure it out on their own – to sink or swim. We don’t believe education should be so inflexible or unsupportive. It’s not a ‘system’, and students to us, aren’t a ‘number’.

We value each student for who they are and what they want for their lives. We absolutely believe in them. We empower them to step into their professional journey and a career they love. We find ways to help them achieve their qualification despite challenges, because we want everyone to succeed.

We value each student for who they are and what they want for their lives. We absolutely believe in them.

We focus not just on theory as well as practice, but also on the whole person – supporting ongoing spiritual formation, and developing students of grit, character, and compassion.

We open doors to extend their professional experiences and connections, and help expand their vision for the world they want to see.

We believe in transforming education where we help students own the story of their life and become who they want to be. Thanks to our Baptist history and Christian foundation, we’ve been doing this for over 80 years.

We wish all of you great joy this season, and whatever your vision for 2025, we believe in you.
