ASQA is responsible for regulating approximately 90% of Australian vocational education and training (VET) providers and regulating providers that deliver VET courses to people living in Australia on student visas. They also regulate certain providers that deliver English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS). They accredit VET courses to ensure they meet nationally approved standards based on industry, enterprise, education, legislative and community needs.

Bedford has been affiliated with the Commercial Education Society of Australia (CESA) since 1943. The CESA is Australia’s oldest society of tertiary education and is open to both academic and professional staff in vocational education and higher education. Bedford is an Assessment Centre of the CESA and can offer their independent examinations and professional development programs.
