Scholarship Information

In 2021, Bedford College will be offering five $5000 scholarships toward tuition.

Our scholarships are designed to give students opportunities they might not otherwise have. We recognise that every student is different and all shine in their own way. We see significant academic achievement as an indicator of a potential scholarship candidate but also recognise that there are many other reasons we may consider when selecting those to receive this grant.

In short, we are investing in the potential this person has to positively impact the community in the future, not merely assess their achievement in the past.

Scholarships are made as a reduction in fees distributed evenly across the duration of their course of study with us.

In general scholarships are given for one of the following three reasons:

Equity:                for example, financial, health, or family circumstances.

Achievement:     for example, previous study, or community participation.

Passion:              for example, desire, dreams, goals, or service.

Applicants must provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the receipt of the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant’s background and current circumstances to enable the College to assess their eligibility, need and merit.

Selection of this scholarship will be determined on the basis of the application/personal statement, fulfilment of the equity requirements of the scholarship and, if required, an interview.
