Enrolling at Bedford
  • NO ATAR is required for enrolment at Bedford College.

  • An interview with the Course Adviser will assist potential students to decide if a Bedford course is suitable for their needs.

  • All students undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test prior to commencing the course to identify students who may require additional LLN support.

  • Bedford College must reasonably believe that the student displays the academic ability to satisfactorily complete the course.

Step-by-step Enrolment Process


(For Australian students)

1. Read the Pre-enrolment Information prior to submition

2. Read the Student Handbook – Face to Face courses

3. Submit (mail or email) the following documents to the College

Submit below documentation to Enrol

1. Completed and signed Enrolment Form (Australian Student) OR Complete and Submit the Online Enrolment Form

2. Copy of School Certificate (HSC) or ROSA (if year 10 school leaver) or equivalent); and

3. Copies of any previous qualifications: and

4. Copies of school reports (last two years); and

5. Unique Student Identifier (USI) number (see below); and
VET Student Loan (VSL) Applicants

Additional Documents Required:

  • Tax File Number (TFN)
  • Citizenship documents

Additional Enrolment Information:

As a condition of being an approved VET Student Loans provider, Bedford College must have detailed Student Entry Requirements which comply with the rules set by the Australian Government. These entry requirements include:

  • Bedford obtains a copy of a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education that has been awarded to the student by an agency or authority of a State or Territory for the student’s completion of year 12, (Certificate of Completion of Year 12 from school) OR
  • provide evidence of successful completion of an AQF Certificate IV on higher (where the language of instruction was in English) OR
  • display competence of Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) in both reading and numeracy through an approved LLN test. Click here for all VSL information and eligibility criteria
Note: The approved ACSF test is an online activity called Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA). This test has been selected by the Government to assess whether applicant for VET Student Loans display competence at or above Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) in both reading and numeracy. The test process will be conducted at the College with the utmost honesty and integrity. It is important that applicants are tested to determine that they can manage the level of study selected.

Additional Enrolment Information

All students enrolling in a nationally recognised training course must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). The USI creates a secure online record of your nationally recognised training that you can access anytime and anywhere, and it’s yours for life. Creating a USI is free.

Students are required to pay a minimum of the first two weeks tuition on commencement of the course and regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments thereafter. Direct Debit arrangements can be made through either the fee/payer’s bank account or credit card (See the Payment Options page for more details). Payment Information

All new students will undertake an orientation program prior to course commencement. Information includes:

  • Introduction to staff and a tour of the College
  • Access and Equity
  • Access to records
  • Appeal process
  • Assessment/assignment information
  • Complaints process
  • Expected learning outcomes
  • What you will receive on completion of the course
  • Privacy Policy
  • Recognition of Prior Learning
  • WHS procedures

Student expectations and responsibilities including:
  • Attendance
  • Academic progress
  • Behaviour and attitude
  • Dress code

Students attend a formal Orientation Session where all issues related to the College, course, qualification/s, assessment, policies, etc. are explained in detail. You will also set-up your network access, email address and passwords, on Orientation Day.

You will also be provided with access to your Online Classroom and the College’ intranet including access to all Policies and Procedures.
